About The Good Doctor:
Dr. Joann Young was raised on a small farm in central Massachusetts, born the first of eight children. An avid animal enthusiast as a child she pursued an Animal Science degree after high school and then worked as a veterinary technician for many years.

Joann followed her dream of attending veterinary school and in 1994 graduated from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She was honored with an award for excellence in surgery. She has been working in small animal practices as an Associate Veterinarian since graduating and also managing a clinic for four years.

Dr. Young recently moved to the Seacoast area with her husband and family members which consist of four cats, two dogs, and two horses. She is returning to New England to be closer to her family, and to fulfill her lifelong goal of having a veterinary hospital exclusively for cats.
